Overview

The Day Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned Day Services programs supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). This position ensures high-quality, person-centered services while maintaining compliance with ResCare policies, state and federal regulations, and Medicaid requirements. The Day Services Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and support to staff while promoting positive outcomes for individuals served.



Responsibilities

Program Operations

    Oversee the daily operation of assigned Day Services programs, including staffing, scheduling, and service delivery.
  • Ensure services align with individual ISP goals and person-centered planning principles.
  • Provide direct on-site program oversight and support to individuals served, as needed.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating program activities, community outings, special events, and program-related purchasing.
  • Evaluate and monitor overall program effectiveness and service outcomes.

Staff Supervision & Development

  • Assist the Program Director with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of assigned positions in accordance with company policy and applicable employment laws.
  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance management for assigned staff.
  • Ensure staff complete required training, certifications, and annual competencies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely staff documentation, including performance evaluations, corrective actions, leave requests, and terminations.
  • Monitor staffing schedules, overtime usage, and vacancy rates to ensure appropriate program coverage.
  • Participate in investigations and ensure appropriate follow-up and corrective actions are implemented.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Review and monitor program documentation, including but not limited to: ISP service notes, T-Logs, GERs, incident reports, and medical records.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with Medicaid, licensing, and ResCare standards.
  • Oversee treatment and support services provided by Day Services staff.
  • Conduct service integrity and compliance reviews to maintain licensure and funding eligibility.
  • Monitor individual financial records and medication administration records (MARs).

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a liaison with Support Coordinators, families, legal guardians, and internal ResCare departments.
  • Attend and participate in ISP, IDT, and special review meetings, as required.
  • Coordinate and resolve service delivery issues and resource-related concerns.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with internal departments and external providers.

Financial Oversight

  • Assist with monitoring, and management of assigned program budgets.
  • Ensure programs operate within approved budgeted expenses.

Performs other duties as needed.



Qualifications

  • Associates of Science in Business, Health care Administration, or a Social Science preferred
  • Minimum of four years in the Human Services field with two years of progressively responsible management experience
  • Prior experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to travel to multiples service sites, staying overnight if necessary
  • Experience in managing systems, processes, and people
  • Working knowledge of Federal, State, Local regulations concerning services to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Demonstrate computer proficiency with working knowledge of Excel, Word
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven supervisory skills
  • Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information
  • Proven track record to guide teams toward multiple goals within several resource and/or reimbursement models
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence with satisfactory driving record as defined by Company vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier
