Anticipated Wage: $19.87 - $25.16 per hour; depending on experience.

4th Shift Position - Graveyard 2300-715

SUMMARY:

To promptly serve the Processing Department by encompassing the monitoring and operation of the extraction, concentration, and sterilization equipment in a safe, sanitary, and approved manner. Initiating corrections and adjustments to equipment as needed to ensure the continued efficient operation of the process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Other duties may be assigned. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices.

It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action.

  • Operate and monitor multiple machines from fruit dumping through the process of sterilization simultaneously to conform to production, maintenance, and quality standards.
  • Identify problems and initiate adjustment for efficient and optimal operation considering such factors as fruit quality and in process attributes.
  • Verify connection of feed/discharge piping and levels of feed/discharge tanks for proper product flow.
  • Maintain proper mixture of raw product and dosing of processing aids to meet FG specification.
  • Perform required analytical testing and properly documents results.
  • When applicable monitor essence fold and production
  • Communicate with Fruit Dumpers, Lead and Filler Operator to maintain throughputs and yield targets.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment and associated piping and tanks.
  • Inform Supervisor on a timely basis of all operation problems encountered and what action was taken to resolve the problems with recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. This includes the documentation of operation trouble spots for corrective action.
  • Calculate and record product flow data completely, concisely, accurately and legibly.
  • Help coordinate the activities of other employees assigned to help in the puree processing area.
  • Responsible for addressing potential food safety and quality issues of the product, including but not limited to monitoring and responding to HACCP, Critical Control Points.

  • Perform job functions in a professional manner, working safely, taking precautions in preventing product and/or equipment damages and losses, cooperating with co-workers and maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent with the use of a calculator.



LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read, write, and communicate in English, and interpret documents such as specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with co-workers and supervisors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance, talk or hear and smell or taste.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision to read specifications and warning labels and to sort products, distance vision to operate lift trucks, color vision to sort product color coding, peripheral vision to operate forklift and operate line, depth perception to go up or down stairs and ladders, and the ability to adjust focus to sort product, to read labels, and specifications. Ability to use fine motor skills to operate small hand tools, calculators and lab equipment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places; in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and working in confined spaces and heights.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
