What You'll Be Doing:
In an ever-evolving healthcare landscape, effective communication is paramount. MannKind is seeking a highly motivated
Communications Intern to join our Corporate Affairs team for Summer 2026. The position will play a pivotal role in supporting our communications team, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and engaging communication both internally and externally. This internship presents a unique opportunity for an individual to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment, contributing to the success of MannKind Corporation.
Key Activities:
Following are likely areas of focus for the Communications Intern. Specific projects will be assigned based on business priorities and the intern's skills and interests:
- Content Development: Contribute to creating clear, engaging content for a variety of internal and external communication channels
- Digital & Social Support: Assist with maintaining and enhancing the organization's online presence
- Internal Messaging: Help with initiatives that keep employees informed and connected
- Media & Trend Monitoring: Track relevant news and industry updates to support communication, analysis, and reporting
- Event Coordination: Provide support for planning and communication around company events
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments to gather information and support integrated communications campaigns
What You Bring to the Table:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field .
- Commit to working 40 hours per week for the full 8-12 weeks without vacation weeks.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Preferably within 1-2 years of graduation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools; Experience with graphic design and Canva is a plus
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated and demonstrated learning agility
- You take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them without needing constant direction.
- You are open to constructive criticism and use it to improve performance and grow professionally

- A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the internship is required.
