What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies that may arise in a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and to support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Support access control procedures and visitor management protocols as required by the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for work in hospital settings.
  • Work may involve duties in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
