Position Summary :
As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide valuable insights daily to the performance of the Region and Submarket and partner with the Region Sales VP to improve region sales growth, costs, and profitability.This position is responsible for reporting insights, completing analysis, forecasting and planning for the Bimbo Bakeries USA Sales Operations organization.The ideal candidate for this position will have prior experience supporting sales operations leadership, leading project work cross functionally and or working in a supply chain finance role in a CPG or retail environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assess and support the execution of current, short-term, and long-term business strategies by quantifying opportunities, measuring progress against goals, and providing insights toward achieving desired results.
  • Work with senior leadership on financial impacts to route health, additions, distribution types, and transformational projects as needed.
  • Work with leadership to create and implement course corrections, business enhancements with thorough data analytics leading to fact-based decision making.
  • Provide insights on business performance, including financial line items / P&L, KPI's / metrics.
  • Complete period end ledger review, submit journal entries for projects and as needed for GL accuracy.
  • Update rolling forecasts of financial position and projections.
  • Support development of presentations and business review materials that highlight performance, bring clarity to key issues and support recommendations.
  • Evaluate business results and identify ways to manage costs and improve earnings.
  • Lead the team on Waste Elimination initiatives.
  • Own capital budget plan, the authorization process and executing assets into service for region.
  • Own hierarchy changes for the region ensuring that all changes are implemented in systems accurately
  • Act as the finance liaison between the sales team and Real Estate, Settlement, Distribution Engineering, and Project teams.
  • Ability to communicate and create actionable strategies from the VP to Frontline levels of the business.

Education and Work History:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Admin or related field required.MBA a plus.
  • CPG or DSD experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial and operational analysis experience required.
  • Strong general accounting and financial acumen required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel modeling and PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase and BI systems a strong preference.
