Overview

Orrick's New Business & Conflicts (NB&C) team has an excellent opportunity for a Lateral Conflicts Support Coordinator. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices and consideration given for 100% remote US locations.


Responsibilities

The Role: As a Lateral Conflicts Support Coordinator, you will provide administrative and data management support to the lateral clearance team and to the Director of NB&C to ensure that lateral clearance work is efficiently managed and to aid in the timely clearance of lateral candidates.

  • Data Management: You will create and maintain flags in the conflicts database related to lateral hiring, assist with closing clients and matters, and update internal documents regarding the status of lateral candidates.
  • Workflow: You will review various documents involved with lateral hiring, including lateral partner questionnaires (LPQ) and professional responsibility questionnaires (PRQ)and prepare conflicts searches. You will attend to filing engagement letters and locating engagement letters within the firm's various systems. With your technical know-how, you will utilize other firm resources to improve workflow efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • One to three years of practical work experience preferred.
  • High technology aptitude and excellent computer skills in the full MS Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Research and database management expertise highly desirable.
  • Flexibility, an enthusiastic approach to client service, dedication to teamwork, and strong organization and time management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is between:

  • New York City, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco $48,000 - $61,000
  • Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Boston, and Seattle $45,000 - $61,000
  • All Other US Locations $44,000 - $56,000

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
