Must-Have Skills

  • Desktop and laptop hardware repair.
  • Desk-side and field support experience.
  • Professional experience supporting Mac and Windows environments.
  • macOS versions: Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma.
  • Windows 10 / 11.
  • Experience with laptop/desktop server environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Customer-facing IT support experience.
  • Strong Windows 10/11 troubleshooting skills.
  • Advanced macOS troubleshooting skills.
  • A+ Certification (preferred, not mandatory).
Role Summary
The Field Engineer III is a journeyman-level desk side support technician responsible for installing, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing computer-related products. The role involves responding to service requests generated by the Help Desk or Service Desk and resolving issues that could not be handled remotely. Assignments range from routine troubleshooting to complex system re-imaging and hardware repair.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair PCs and Macs.
  • Perform system reloads, re-imaging, and OS upgrades.
  • Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic networking issues.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and provide follow-up until resolution.
  • Maintain accurate ticket updates in the incident management system.
  • Adhere to client-specific SLAs and service delivery standards.
  • Maintain professional appearance and customer-focused demeanor.
  • Occasionally assist server and/or network teams under direct guidance.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11.
  • Hands-on experience with macOS 12.6 or later.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a field/desk-side environment.
