Basic Qualifications:

Secret Clearance with Investigation within 5 years. TS preferred.

Sec+ or equivalent DoD Directive 8570/8140 Information Assurance Management Level II certification

Ability to author SSPs and maintain authorizations to operate (ATO).

Ability to perform technical certifications for systems being presented to the government for authorization.

Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information

system security.


Knowledge of information systems security principles, methodologies, and technologies, including operational requirements and cyber threats.

Desired Skills:

Oversee and manage the overall execution of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, ensuring adherence to established principles and standards (NIST SP 800-37 and 800-53).


Understanding of implementation of all security controls and other technical requirements for various system types.

Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes for DoD information systems, including understanding Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements.

Experience working with classified information systems and ability to perform thorough risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable mitigation strategies aligned with contractual requirements.

Previous experience working in an SAP/SCI/ Collateral environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interface with

numerous cognizant security agencies, customers and senior management.

Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, demanding environment.

Knowledge of other security disciplines and how they impact and interact with information

system security.

Prior experience as ISSO, ISSM, or DoD equivalent at an organization of similar size and complexity.

Understanding of avionic and weapon system architectural and network concepts

Understanding of networking concepts and cybersecurity related tools to include, Defense

Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP),and vulnerability scanners.

Ability to speak in front of large groups of people.


Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 years' experience required with a related Master's degree.

Security Clearance Statement:

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
