RAYUS Radiology is looking for a MR Technologist II to join our team. As a MR Technologist II, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes and functions as a subject matter expert and resource. Taking a patient centered approach, this role provides MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with flexible shifts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80%) Patient MRI Imaging

1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scans, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
5. Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations
6. Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
7. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
8. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
9. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

1. Acts as a resource to the team and other departments
2. Assist in the training of new team members, functioning as a resource and technical expert, as applicable
3. Supports process improvement initiative to improve accuracy and patient experience
4. Assists with special projects as assigned

(5%) MRI Department Support

1. Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Required:

1. High School diploma, or equivalent
2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
4. Two (2) years' MRI imaging experience
5. Previous experience mentoring and servicing as a resource for others
6. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
7. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
8. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
9. Certification in imaging specialty

Preferred:

1. Certifications in multiple modalities
2. Bilingual
