Video Coordinator, Football
Position Description Plans, edits and produces all videography used by the university's athletics department to support the success of the university's various NCAA Division 1 intercollegiate teams.

Major/Essential Functions The Video Coordinator, Football, supports all football video and technology operations. This position is responsible for filming, editing, organizing, and distributing practice and game video, as well as assisting coaches with video analysis and scouting needs. The Video Coordinator ensures accurate, timely, and secure delivery of video content for coaches and student-athletes while supporting daily football technology operations.
Video Operations & Production
- Support the maintenance and operation of the Catapult game analysis system, responding efficiently to all coaches' video-related requests.
- Coordinate the capture of all football games, practices, and special teams activities in compliance with NCAA and conference regulations.
- Edits, processes, and uploads video content for coaching, player development, scouting, and self-scout purposes.
- Support post-game technology distribution to coaches to enable timely film review and breakdown.
- Assist with importing all (NCAA, NFL, etc.) teams and TV copies into the video database, and store other video data on the Catapult game analysis.
Football Technology Support
- Assists in the daily operation of football technology systems, including in-house and cloud-based video and data platforms.
- Supports coaches and staff with video access, troubleshooting, and basic technical assistance.
- Assists with managing permissions and access controls for video content on staff computers and student-athlete devices.
- Support the maintenance and operation of key football technology systems, including 8K MASTER CAM, 8K Walk Through Wall, Catapult Thunder, PFF, Tempo Music System, Hudl, QSC, and VITEC.
- Help maintain organized digital archives of football video and related data.
Equipment & Logistics
- Support the setup, operation, and technical needs of AV systems for hotel meeting rooms during home and away games, coaches' clinics, official visits, and other football-related events.
- Support the setup, operation, and breakdown of new sideline tablet technology.
- Support the setup, teardown, maintenance, and inventory tracking of all video and filming equipment.
- Monitor and verify that cameras, servers, and computer systems are functioning properly.
- Support adherence to safety protocols when working with 8K Master Cams and other elevated or restricted areas.
Personnel & Operational Support
- Assists with training and supervising student workers related to video operations.
- Help schedule student staff for practices, games, and special events.
- Provides operational support to the Director of Football Video as assigned.
- Comply with all NCAA, Big 12, and Texas Tech University rules, regulations, and policies
Work Schedule & Travel Requirements
- Position requires availability to work weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours based on team schedules and operational needs.
- Travel is required, including travel with the football team for away games, postseason play, and other football-related events.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field plus one to three years of experience related to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Division I collegiate or professional football video operations.
- Familiarity with NCAA rules related to video filming and distribution.
- Working knowledge of football video editing and analysis systems (e.g., Catapult - DVSport or similar platforms).
- Proficiency with video cameras, editing software, and digital file management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with coaches, staff, and student workers.

Annualized Pay Range $48,000
Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
Travel Required Up to 100%
