Performs routine administrative support or technical program assistance work. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

About the Department and/or College

Welcome to Campus Events. Our office is here to help with all planning, coordinating, and scheduling of events. We're here to keep you informed about what is happening on campus, whether you are part of the Texas Tech Community or a guest visiting campus. Our office is your resource for all events!

Major/Essential Functions


  • Serve as receptionist for Campus Events Office
  • Monitor the general email box and notify staff of appointment arrivals
  • Prepare travel arrangements for Campus Events staff, including booking flights and hotels, and submitting expense reports through the Chrome River system
  • Assist with event coordination, including requesting quotes and preparing purchase orders

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent Customer Service Skills

Preferred: Microsoft Office, Teams, TechBuy system, Procurement System, Travel System and Outlook

Required Qualifications

Completion of high school or the equivalent. Five years office experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
