  • Shift: Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM


CW is looking for a Quality Control (QC) Manager to help play a crucial role in ensuring that the landscaping and ground maintenance services provided at the military base meet or exceed the highest quality standards. This position is responsible for inspecting, evaluating, and verifying the performance of landscaping contractors to ensure the base's outdoor spaces are well-maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing.


What You'll Do:



  • Conduct regular inspections of landscaping and grounds maintenance activities to ensure compliance with contract specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Review and analyze work orders, project plans, and landscaping maintenance schedules.

  • Collaborate with landscaping contractors to address quality issues, provide feedback, and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.

  • Monitor the use of landscaping equipment, machinery, and materials to ensure efficiency and compliance with safety guidelines.

  • Evaluate the health and condition of plants, trees, lawns, and irrigation systems, recommending maintenance and improvement measures as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, work orders, and performance evaluations.

  • Assist in the development of landscaping and ground maintenance standards and procedures.

  • Train and educate base personnel and contractors on quality control best practices.

  • Identify opportunities for cost-effective and sustainable landscaping solutions.

  • Collaborate with environmental experts to ensure landscaping practices align with conservation and sustainability goals.

  • Report any safety hazards or environmental concerns promptly to the appropriate authorities and management.


What You'll Need:



  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years hands - on commercial landscaping or grounds services experience.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety practices, chemical handling, PPE use, or infection control.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, follow procedures, and respond quickly to quality or safety issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Proactive mindset with a solution-focused approach.

Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods throughout the workday.

  • Involves repetitive motions such as raking, shoveling, trimming, and pushing landscaping equipment.

  • Requires sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle tools and perform detailed tasks.

  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind.

  • May involve exposure to dust, pollen, fertilizers, and other landscaping materials or chemicals.

  • Requires visual acuity to inspect work quality, identify hazards, and ensure safety compliance.

  • Must be able to hear and respond to verbal instructions, equipment sounds, and environmental cues.

  • Involves navigating uneven terrain, slopes, and potentially slippery or muddy surfaces.

  • May require personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and boots.
