MWH Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Project Controls Manager to support program management at risk design and construction projects in Cape Coral, FL. Essential Functions
- Responsible for developing an objective and independent analysis of all program financials, with each project lifecycle.
- Plans, develops and supervises all cost engineering and scheduling activities for large, complex group of projects.
- Assists in the development and implementation of project cost engineering standards and procedures for the program, and associated group of projects.
- Supervises a project controls team to prepare various reports such as project billings, budget, change orders, CPM schedules, procurement buyout logs, labor productivity analysis, material tracking, monthly forecasts, trending reports and monthly internal and owner project progress reports.
- Evaluate and adjust data regarding project cost forecasts, resource requirements, commitment data and productivity variance reports.
- Regularly manage all cost functions of the project's Project Management Information System.
- Assist the Project Controls Director and Program Manager with managing the project change management process. Work with team members to prepare and facilitate delivery of all necessary scope change notice and cost documents to client for approval.
- Prepares all monthly billing to client based on costs incurred.
- Develop and prepare both internal and external monthly project progress summary reports.
- Assist the Project Controls Director and Program Manager in writing, distributing, and managing Subcontracts and Purchase Agreements.
- Develop budgets, cash flow projections, and any project-specific reports, tools, or spreadsheets.
- Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, home office, and other stakeholders on all project cost-related topics.
- Assists with establishing, implementing, and documenting job-specific project controls standards.
- Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
Basic Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Science or higher university degree in Business, Construction Management, or Engineering. An equivalent combination of experience, skills and training may be considered.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and or cost engineering; experience within a construction setting demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in terms of project size and sophistication is required.
- Experience with project accounting and general financial management, scheduling, document management, and project compliance processes & audits.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other normal business applications.
