Job Description




As a Armed Security Guard - Government Site in Clearwater, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong, visible presence at a government location. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and contribute to a collaborative team environment built on integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during patrols.
  • Work in collaboration with local law enforcement or emergency services as needed, following established protocols for the government environment.
  • Remain alert and observant at all times, being prepared to address security-related concerns that may arise during the shift.
  • Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including communication devices and/or security-related technology, in accordance with Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of three years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
