Location:Remote Job Summary: The Supply Chain Analyst will analyze data and processes to improve the Kennametal's delivery of products and services to customers. They will support the design, development and implementation of new concepts as well optimize existing processes. This position will support the end-to-end supply chain including demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning and logistics. Efforts will be focused on delivering value through service, lead time, inventory, and productivity. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Takes direction from Director North America Supply Chain, supporting the supply chain transformation and influencing supply chain related objectives by working closely with the supply chain team, manufacturing teams, suppliers and other key stakeholders.
- Support implementation of global solutions and provide feedback on potential improvements.
- Develop reports and tools to support performance management and process changes.
- Monitor compliance of users to process changes through reports and regular forums.
- With guidance from a manager or Senior resource, facilitate business groups - develop content for user group meetings, training events, etc.
- Develop, maintain, and execute material requirements plans (MRP) to ensure timely availability of purchased materials. Collaborate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, expedite critical materials, and manage shortages.
- Participate in requirements sessions, document expected business outcomes and work with partners to implement successfully.
- Apply business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high-volume data from a variety of sources.
- Use and develop within planning systems (SAP and SAP IBP) to enable expected business objects
- Communicate with other departments within the organization to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions and implement changes
- Examples of evidence of success in this role are reduced end to end cycle time, increased inventory turns and meeting or exceeding customer on time delivery.
Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates
- Bachelor's in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems or other related field
- 2+ years of related experience in supply chain such as demand planning, supply planning or inventory planning.
- Possesses working knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including the underlying theories and concepts.
- (Understanding of supply chain KPIs including service, inventory, lead times, etc. and the tradeoffs amongst them)
- Passion for business analytics and working with large data sets to extrapolate meaningful information.
- Passion for supply chain technology and design.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work independently to identify issues, take ownership and drive a solution
- Experience with SAP and/or SAP IBP.
- Basic understanding of relational databases.
- Technical understanding of planning solutions (material masters, routings, BOMs, forecasting, material requirements planning, etc.).
