Security Officer - Armed Outside Patrols

As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrols in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a retail location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your presence and professionalism will support a secure atmosphere for customers and staff, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require the use of an armed response as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols in and around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas within the retail environment to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or disruptive conduct.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
