Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hotel Patrol in Vero Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a premier hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for guests. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver exceptional customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a dynamic hospitality environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including the perimeter and common areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related concerns and support the overall operations of the location.
  • Remain visible and approachable to guests and employees to foster a welcoming and secure atmosphere throughout the hotel and resort.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
