As a Manager, Tax your goal is to manage the preparation and filing of one or more of the Federal, International, State and Local tax returns to minimize corporate liability and to ensure compliance. You'll assist in corporate tax provision planning efforts and help provide guidance in relation to all tax issues. You'll also provide consultation and advise management of the consequences of proposed and existing tax laws, regulations, court decisions and/or consummated transactions. #LI-MD1 #LI-Hybrid You will do this by:
- Managing the planning, preparation, and filing of the federal, state, and international tax returns
- Leading the calculation of the company's key US international tax components, including GILTI inclusion, Subpart F income inclusion, foreign tax credit utilization, BEAT and foreign subsidiary E&P
- Managing and supporting tax audits and administrative appeals
- Responding to inquiries from operating personnel in a timely, accurate and professional manner
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of both existing and proposed tax laws, regulations and court decisions as well as their application to proposed and consummated transactions
- Executing tax strategy and working with the business to analyze data and make recommendations
- Ensuring compliance with the tax function's internal control processes
- Preparing and reviewing annual tax provisions and accounting for uncertainty related to our non-US operations pursuant to ASC 740
- Performing a full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
- Supporting the Senior Director Tax in developing and implementing US international tax planning strategies, policies and procedures as well as supporting the same from a local country tax perspective
- Supporting the Senior Director Tax in the management of the company's transfer pricing positions, domestic and foreign tax audits, the company's acquisition and disposition activity, and impact analysis of certain legislative developments
- Advising and closely collaborating with other corporate functions, including treasury, finance, accounting, and legal on matters such as tax forecasting, restructurings, cash deployment, foreign currency matters and the capitalization of non-US subsidiaries

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field OR equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of five years experience in US tax compliance and financial reporting
- Extensive knowledge in tax including: income taxes, corporate state and local tax laws and regulations, international tax laws and regulations, and accounting ramifications.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting for income taxes pursuant to ASC 740
- Strong accounting and administrative skills with demonstrated problem-solving skills to resolve complex tax issues
- Must be able to exercise sound independent judgment with regards to the application of tax law to effectively minimize liabilities, risks, and exposures, including in supporting and consulting with the group/business unit and/or guiding and directing the work of the Tax team
- Planning and administering tax affairs in a manufacturing environment preferred
- International tax experience preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure preferred
- Ability to build and maintain relationships and work closely with tax and non-tax colleagues
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with and clearly present complex material and recommendations to diverse audiences
- Participate and/or manage other continuous improvement projects
- Solid analytical skills, decision making, and organization skills in relation to managing multiple, complex projects with tight deadline
- Strong experience with tax preparation software
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
