Position Summary:

We are looking for a data-savvy E-Commerce Pricing Analyst to support our growing online business in the building supply industry. The E-Commerce Pricing Analyst will develop and implement pricing strategies that drive profitability and competitiveness across our e-commerce channels. The E-Commerce Pricing Analyst will help optimize pricing for a wide range of building materials, tools, and contractor supplies, while balancing market trends, customer needs, and inventory levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze product-level pricing, sales performance, and customer behavior across e-commerce platforms.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing for products to ensure competitiveness while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Evaluate pricing strategies for both B2B and B2C customer segments, considering contractor discounts, tiered pricing, and regional market variations.
  • Track competitor pricing and market activity using data scraping tools and market intelligence platforms.
  • Work closely with category managers, sales teams, and procurement to align pricing strategies with inventory, availability, and supplier costs.
  • Support promotional pricing, bulk discounts, and seasonal campaigns through data-driven recommendations.
  • Maintain pricing accuracy across e-commerce platforms and ensure pricing compliance across SKUs and product categories.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide regular updates on pricing performance, margin impact, and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
  • At least two years of experience in pricing analysis, e-commerce, or business analytics-experience in building supply, wholesale distribution or retail is a strong plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Understanding of e-commerce platforms and ERP systems commonly used in distribution (e.g., NetSuite, Epicor, SAP).
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with pricing strategies in a margin based, competitive, and value-based pricing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain pricing decisions and data insights to cross-functional stakeholders.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 70% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
