Join McKesson Medical-Surgical, one of healthcare's most respected divisions, as a Category Specialist on our Supplier Administration team. This remote role within the U.S. offers hands-on experience and a clear path for advancement.

You'll support Category Managers with supplier item setup, customer restriction management, and engagement activities-building skills in analysis, communication, and project coordination in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates will be:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented - able to manage multiple incoming requests simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver professional, timely results.
  • Analytical and data-driven - comfortable working with data and familiar with analysis tools or ERP systems.
  • Curious and solution-focused - eager to explore creative approaches to problem-solving and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Strong project coordinators - skilled at bringing teams together and driving initiatives to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Category Managers with day-to-day activities, including:
    • Supplier item setup and maintenance in internal systems.
    • Customer restriction management and compliance processes.
    • Coordination of supplier engagement activities and communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Master Data, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to ensure alignment and execution of initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for category-related projects.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional service to suppliers, treating them as valued partners.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent.

Critical Skills:

  • 4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, supply chain or related field preferred; or equivalent experience. HS diploma required.
  • Effective communication skills with a large variety of audiences, both internal and external.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel- Pivots, VLOOKUP's and PowerPoint).
  • Experience managing multiple projects requiring frequent communication and problem solving.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
