Cary Orthopedics is seeking a PM&R (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation) Physician to join our team with a primary focus on Workers' Compensation injury care. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in musculoskeletal medicine, nonsurgical orthopedic management, and the evaluation of occupational injuries.This is an outpatient-focused role with a strong emphasis on timely, coordinated communication with case managers, employers, and adjusters. You'll work closely with orthopedic surgeons, therapy services, and imaging to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and ongoing management of patients with work-related musculoskeletal injuries
• Conduct Independent Medical Evaluations (IME), functional assessments, impairment ratings, and second opinions
• Provide nonoperative treatment plans, including injections, medication management, and returntowork planning
• Communicate effectively and promptly with adjusters, employers, case managers, and referral partners
• Complete all Workers' Compensation documentation in accordance with state, payer, and employer requirements
• Collaborate with surgeons, therapy providers, and ancillary services to support coordinated care
• Participate in quality improvement and contribute to workflow enhancements

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with completed residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
• Board certified or board eligible in PM&R
• Eligible for or holds an active North Carolina medical license
• Experience with Workers' Compensation preferred (training can be provided)
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care and timely access standards
