What You Will Do:

  • Primary duties will be to provide installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for our packer and gas lift systems to optimize well production for our clients and customers.

  • Review quotes, installation and repair plans to ensure a thorough understanding of customer needs and the parts and process required to address the need.

  • As needed, explain installation, service or repair plans, and invoices to customers; discuss cost or time overruns with team leader or manager.

  • Execute installations, repair, or service plans and documents results.

  • Creates product failure analysis reports.

  • Develops good working relationships with customers through professional communication.

  • Know and comply with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Drive and contribute to the departments continuous improvement culture.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters.

  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent education or equivalent education and/or experience.

  • Valid driver's license in state of residence required.

  • Four or more years of relevant experience.

  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role.

  • Operate, recommend and maintain packer and gas lift products and services to meet customer need. This includes, but is not limited to, operating various styles of packers, including assembling, troubleshooting, and releasing of packers.

  • Comprehend a tubing tally and properly fill out installation reports for our customers.

  • Execute tubing set and wireline set packers to company expectations.

  • Perform initial completions, remedial, or downhole maintenance operations from an elevated position.

  • Maintain and perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs to workover rigs and associated equipment; check fluid, oil, water, hydraulic, and transmission levels.

  • Understand and use various completion tools complementing the packer product line.

  • Coordinate assignments or projects to achieve maximum utilization of clients' drilling and oil recovery efforts.

  • Work independently at remote customer locations.

  • Troubleshoot and make recommendations for well flow enhancement.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to express thoughts clearly, both orally and in writing, using good grammar. Listen to understand input, feedback and concerns. Provide complete information in an open, honest and straightforward manner. Respond promptly and positively to questions and requests.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Gather and analyze information skillfully; Develop alternative solutions; Work well in group problem solving situations; Use reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision - Prioritize and plan work activities; Use time efficiently; Plan for additional resources; Set goals and objectives; Organize or schedules other people and their tasks; Develop realistic action plans.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite - Pick up on technical things quickly; can learn new skills and knowledge is good at learning new industry, company, product, or technical knowledge; does well in technical courses and seminars.

  • Strong mechanical skills - Perform mechanical field maintenance work to ensure optimal availability and reliability of artificial lift equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

  • Employee is required to regularly walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited toshoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
