Position Summary The Laboratory Technician I is responsible for executing assigned Laboratory support functions such as media preparation, cleaning and steam sterilization of Laboratory supplies and reusable equipment. May conduct some assigned testing. This is a Monday-Friday day shift opportunity. What You'll Do as a Laboratory Technician I Supports laboratory functions through the preparation of media, reagents and associated tasks. 50% Performs cleaning as directed including materials, equipment and Lab area. 25% Manually and electronically records and maintains data relevant to the procedures executed. 10% Assists in basic testing functions as directed such as preparation, set-up and clean-up. 10% Assists in the operation of steam sterilizer. 5% Other Duties as Assigned The Experience, Abilities, and Skills Needed High School Diploma or GED. Ability to work under control in pressure situations and adapt rapidly to change. Ability to read and interpret rules, schedules, procedures and instructions. Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals. Ability to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs. Ability to work well with others. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
