Responsibilities

Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is a multi-discipline behavioral healthcare center that offers mental health services to the communities of surrounding Augusta, Georgia. The Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta is an acute and residential treatment facility providing balanced, top-notch clinical care to children, adolescents and young adults. We provide a carefully structured and supportive environment, and our education program is accredited through the Georgia Accrediting Commission. We are recruiting full time Mental Health Technicians.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor unit patients and complete rounds as assigned
  • Participate in treatment planning
  • Assist in the admission process
  • Orient new patients to the unit and their program
  • Plan and prepare for group therapy sessions
  • Maintain patient, program, department and related documentation

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma/ GED.
  • Associates or Bachelors level education in a human service related field required.
  • Valid driver's license with no suspensions or tickets for major traffic violations for at least three years.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within first week of hire.
  • Must be able and willing to become certified in therapeutic restraint technique program (Handle With Care).
  • Additional pay offered for lifeguard certification.
