Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Nashville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and offering outstanding customer service. This position requires both an armed guard card and a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for both foot and vehicle patrols. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any unusual observations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the location to help to deter prohibited items and/or activities.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned location to help to deter potential disturbances and provide assistance to staff, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness drills and respond to alarms and/or emergency calls as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
