As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer serving a dynamic retail location. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the property, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist with security-related matters and provide assistance to customers and staff as appropriate.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, potential threats, or hazards to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to carrying and handling firearms as part of an armed patrol post.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents at the location.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly according to company and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III armed certification if applying for a position in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
