As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies specific to healthcare settings.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders as needed during security-related incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate security-related concerns to management and/or law enforcement as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
