Security Officer - Unarmed Airport Full Time

As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Full Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Valid Driver's License
• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or activity within the premises.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, supporting evacuation or other procedures according to site protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or other relevant information as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and/or law enforcement as needed to support security-related operations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
