Job Description




As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Route in Sanford, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents, while you provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and play a key role in supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual conditions, security-related hazards, or suspicious activity encountered during patrols.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and/or maintaining visitor logs as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response procedures, including evacuation and/or shelter-in-place protocols, as directed by site management or Allied Universal.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and/or electronic systems as required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
