Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol in LINCOLN, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence will contribute to a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential disruptions.
  • Observe and report any irregularities or incidents encountered during patrols, including property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Support healthcare staff and visitors by providing directions, information, and general assistance as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with all individuals encountered on site, maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
  • Assist Allied Universal and site management with incident documentation and reporting as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
