POSITION SUMMARY:


Charlotte Football Club is seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join the Content Team. The photographer will work on editing, archiving, and capturing various images including match action, various events, and studio shoots. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have a creative vision for content.



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


- Work with Lead Photographer and Creative Director to document the history of Charlotte FC at every level and the importance of the player pathway.


- Serve as primary photographer for Crown Legacy FC and Charlotte FC Academy teams.


- Capture images at non-match events year-round for various Charlotte FC departments including but not limited to community outreach, partnership needs, ticketing initiatives, marketing events, retail, and other business asks as assigned.


- Assist as a secondary photographer (as needed) with First Team related duties including but not limited to real-time match day editing, photographing partnership integration, pre-match parties and matchday experience


- Assist with Charlotte FC photoshoots, setting up studio sets, lighting and equipment for specialty photoshoots


- Perform digital photo management workflows to build and maintain Charlotte FC photo archive by ingesting, keywording, organizing, and logging all photos in a timely fashion


- Manage collections of photos and proactively update them; assist with updating semi-permanent photo installs at Bank of America Stadium and Atrium Health Performance Park.


- Email and distribute photos and links requested both internally and externally embedding the appropriate licenses


- Work with all departments including community, marketing, partnership, communications, ticketing etc. to fulfill photo requests


- Collaborate with creative, social, and video teams on creative content ideas


- Other duties as assigned.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:



  • One (1) year's relevant work experience required
  • Knowledge of photography principles (composition, manual settings, horizon lines, etc.) and photo editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw
  • Must be technically knowledgeable and savvy in a digital and Apple environment



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Experience shooting soccer
  • Familiarity with Canon camera systems and Photoshelter
  • Knowledge of flash photography, studio lighting and set construction

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • This position operates in a professional office environment, outside in a stadium facility and in the community at various events. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. Local travel to events may be required. This position typically works approximately 40 hours per week.


  • Must be able to work in all Charlotte FC home matches
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain standing/walking for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.
  • Must be able to work in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
