Job Description




HIRING WAREHOUSE LEAD NOW! PAY RATE OF $24.00 HR

The Warehouse Lead helps and guides a warehouse technician, steering and facilitating the execution of the warehouse objective. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the physical transfer, computer- based transaction, and record keeping of all equipment transferred out/In to/from event sites. The WarehouseLead serves as the first level of escalation resource for non-routine issues as well as first level of escalation for warehouse related questions. This position is responsible for the timely monitoring and maintaining available inventory levels, managing warehouse communication and be the primary point of contact for any communication questions or issues. The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for contacting appropriate service provider to get questions answered and issues resolved.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping and Receiving

    • Assist and actively support in all aspects of warehouse technician daily duties such as equipment maintenance, packing, shipping & receiving (at warehouse and cargo facility) and local delivery when necessary.
    • Ensure all warehouse team follows defined department procedures in executing their daily tasks such as shipping, receiving, inventory and materials control, maintenance, etc
    • Coordinate daily work schedules and assign tasks to ensure maximum productivity
    • Streamline warehouse processes toward operational efficiency to reduce errors and Improve turnaround times for shipments.
    • Enforce quality control by inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and resolve issues within the chain of custody.
    • Inventory management, as related to equipment level necessary for upcoming event needs.

  • Monitor and maintain consumables inventory levels to support event team operations and product availability in preventing shortages, purchasing additional when required.
  • Initiate early detection of physical inventory errors by regular inventory audits.
  • Maintain data accuracy in asset tracking systems, providing summary reports per schedule or request
  • Participate in relevant company and department meetings, comply with professional and quality standards, comply with corporate policies and procedures
  • Act as primary point of contact and escalation for issues related to internal team orders.
  • Handle problems which require identifying some solutions selecting from alternative courses of action, with greater adaptation to circumstances as necessary
  • Answer routine and non-routine questions, exchange information with even team members which is typically knowledgeable in the subject area; select a predetermined course of action based on experience and specific guidelines
  • Manage a collaborative relationship with points of contact both internal and external from the department and company
  • Assist remote team members by physically connecting/disconnecting devices located at the warehouse as directed.

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required:

  • Two (2) or more years of warehouse supervisory work experience
Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, practices and techniques within warehousing, transportation, inventory and materials control, import and export, etc.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and systems relevant to the assigned area of responsibility
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task several projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with vendors and intercompany at all levels
  • Proficient in the use of electronic communication technologies such as email and instant messagingOTHER
  • RELATED ATTRIBUTES THAT WOULD ENHANCE HIRING CONSIDERATION:

    • Fork Lift certified
    • Prior experience with warehouse and logistics

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENT:

    • Office environment with minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures expected
    • Major activities include working on PC while sitting, telephone use
    • Physical effort is limited, to include some standing, walking, and sitting, minimal to no stooping or kneeling
    • Ability to climb ladder and lift 50 pounds
    • Must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law
