Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center, located in Columbia, Maryland combines the convenience of a full range of hospital and wellness services, more than 1000 affiliated doctors in nearly 100 clinical specialties, award winning clinical excellence and membership in Johns Hopkins Medicine, one of the country's premier academic medical systems.

This PRN position requires:



  1. On-site through orientation and passing of audits.
  2. Training at least 3 days per week. Prefer 4-5 days.
  3. Orientation is 6 weeks fulltime.
  4. Flexibility may be considered for candidates with utilization review or case management experience.


What you will do:

The Case Manager is responsible to implement the plan of care for specific patients, beginning on a pre-admission basis and following through placement and into follow-up/after care and is empowered to facilitate mid course care changes, in conjunction with the patient care team. The Case Manager collaborates with the patient, family, Interdisciplinary Care Team members and external healthcare providers to assure safe, timely and efficient care. Position requires innovative skills for continuous improvement in patient outcomes and cost effectiveness. The Case Manager has responsibility for initiating the plan of care and monitoring its implementation. Internal communication is required outside of the work group to persuade or gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas. Job has significant accountability for ensuring internal contact satisfaction.

Who Should Apply:



  1. BSN required.
  2. Minimum of five (3) years of relevant clinical experience required.
  3. Current licensure as a registered nurse by the State of Maryland

Salary Range: Minimum 58.37/hour - Maximum 58.37/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
