Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you'll monitor and patrol financial institution locations to help to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential risks and foster a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors at financial institution locations.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as required by site protocols.
  • Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
