Job Description




As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Tanner, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Your role involves conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities within the location to help to deter security-related incidents and report any irregularities.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or site-specific needs.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site protocols.
  • Support a secure environment by being visible and approachable to employees, visitors, and vendors within the tech, media, and telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EMT certification is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
