The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing has been the leader in nursing education in North Carolina throughout its history. Position Summary
UNC Chapel Hill is searching for a Research Assistant (RA) to assist the Project Manager in the coordination and implementation of data collections in the Robeson County area. The RA will be responsible for attending all data collections, providing research support, and assisting with the coordination of research activities.

This position may meet with study participants at their homes or in public locations conduct data collections within/around Robeson County.

This position is based in Robeson County, NC with occasional in-person workdays at UNC Chapel Hill (up to 1 day per month). Candidates must reside in or be within reasonable commuting distance to Robeson County, NC.

Some data collections and research activities may occur after normal business hours and on weekends.

The PC must have reliable transportation and a valid NC driver's license.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple, competing priorities while maintaining a high level of work and research quality.
Must be flexible to meet community and study participant needs.
Effective time management and organizational skills are required for this position.
Ability to work independently and with professional teams.
Possess full knowledge of social/clinical research principles, methodologies, and data analysis.
Ability to follow established compliance guidelines within study protocols and manuals of operational procedures.
Possess a strong ability to efficiently multitask and complete assignments independently, with significant attention to detail.
Be able to utilize and be comfortable using a virtual platform
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience collecting research data.
Experience with online data capture systems such as REDCap and Qualtrics.
Human subjects research experience.
