The Senior Corporate Quality Specialist serves as a strategic partner in advancing Avient's global quality systems and certifications. This role leads cross-functional initiatives to enhance system integrity, user experience, and compliance across Avient's enterprise platforms. The Senior Specialist is accountable for the governance, optimization, and training of core quality processes, including ISO certifications, internal and external audits, and global metrics reporting. With a focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation, this role supports both corporate and site-level quality excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assessments of Avient's global quality system effectiveness, including CAPA, internal auditing, document control, process control, raw material management, and lab testing protocols

  • Serve as a primary liaison for external customer audits, ensuring readiness, documentation integrity, and timely resolution of findings
  • Drive Avient's central certification strategy (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001), including internal audit planning, supplier evaluations, and cross-site alignment
  • Provide expert guidance and hands-on support for site-specific and business unit quality certifications, fostering consistency and compliance
  • Own the development and deployment of quality training programs, including curriculum design for quality leaders, auditors, and functional stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze global quality metrics, deliver executive-level dashboards and risk insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Administer and enhance enterprise quality software platforms, including calibration systems and Avient's global customer complaint system, ensuring optimal configuration and user adoption
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating across functions to elevate quality standards, reduce risk, and improve audit outcomes
  • Support EHS&S integration by modeling compliance, reporting incidents, and reinforcing safety as a shared organizational priority


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related technical field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., ASQ CQE, ISO Lead Auditor) strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in quality systems leadership, preferably within a global manufacturing or operations environment

  • Deep expertise in ISO standards and certification processes, including audit strategy, supplier quality, and regulatory compliance

Additional Qualifications

  • Proven ability to design and optimize quality systems, including CAPA, document control, and lab testing protocols

  • Experience with enterprise quality platforms, calibration systems, and complaint management tools; ability to translate system data into actionable insights

  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of executive reporting and risk communication

  • Demonstrated success in training program development, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Detail-oriented, systems-driven, and committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement

  • Willingness to travel to support audits, certifications, and site-level initiatives

  • Commitment to Avient's EHS&S standards and proactive incident reporting
