UCF's College of Graduate Studies serves nearly 10,000 students and 300 postdoctoral scholars through providing leadership, resources, and services that enhance the graduate experience through program development, enrollment management, and advanced technological support. The Opportunity:

UCF's College of Graduate Studies seeks customer service-minded applicants for a Student Programs Coordinator I. This position serves as the face of Graduate Studies to our incoming graduate students, while making an impact through their academic careers. This Coordinator is responsible for graduate orientation and engagement programming as apart of Graduate Student Life. Primary duties include planning events, managing online systems, coordinating with partner offices, and creating a great experience for incoming graduate students at UCF.

This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Responsibilities:


  • Plans and coordinates all aspects of Graduate Orientation at UCF to create a welcoming and informative experience for UCF graduate students.

  • Work closely with supervisor in planning and managing large scale events including securing room/facilities/technology reservations and assistance for in-person orientation and engagement activities throughout the semester.

  • Develop student orientation team on-boarding process and scheduling.

  • Coordinates campus wide event schedules, goals, and assessments related to orientation activities.

  • Prepares monthly/semester reports and analysis on orientation engagement and explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 0+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

We welcome candidates with experience in any of the following areas:


  • Strong customer service mindset, with demonstrated experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

  • Experience in higher education (e.g. volunteer, student worker, graduate assistant, or intern).

  • Familiarity with UCF and the campus community is a plus.

  • Event management experience, including promotion and logistic execution.

  • Comfortable presenting to large groups; presentation and public speaking experience.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
