Job Summary

The School of Music Program Manager will assist the Director of the School of Music with the daily operation of the school and development of new programs and initiatives. The Manager serves as the primary liaison between the Director and faculty, registered students, and the general public. With responsibility for the provision of an efficient and organized administration service that sustains the smooth running of the school. The job holder is also required, on occasions, to represent the School of Music at a variety of community and professional events.



Job Responsibilities Include

    Oversee the daily operations of the Music School including student registrations and patron liaison, correspondence, monitoring room set-ups and other general programming support as needed.
  • Interact continuously with patrons and staff responding positively and efficiently to questions or concerns raised and provide effective pragmatic solutions.
  • Assist the Director and Executive Director with development of new School of Music programs and initiatives.
  • Assists the Director with marketing, sales, and customer care.
  • Assist the Director with entering, editing, and tracking season load
  • Overseeing scheduling of lessons for patrons.
  • Assist Director with placement of students,
  • Assist with all scholarship programs, including tracking and preparing budgets for Director.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.


Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least two years' administrative experience required.
  • Experience in a cultural organization would be beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to self manage workload.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written accompanied by an eye for detail is a must.
  • Canddates must be service-oriented and able to interact effectively with a broad range of people.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, accompanied with prior experience in database management is required.
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus


Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 6pm, Tuesday 10am to 7pm, with a 1-hour unpaid meal break

Compensation Range

$55,000 - $65,000

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
