Security Officer - Distribution Entry Screener

As a Security Officer - Distribution Entry Screener in Hutchins, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine checks and interact with staff and visitors, delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Screen individuals and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location according to established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the premises.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Document and report any observed irregularities or incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
• Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and management while carrying out assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
