Process Improvement Consultant

Genesis10
life insurance, 401(k)
United States, Wisconsin, Milwaukee
Jan 13, 2026
Genesis10 is seeking a Process Improvement Consultant for a 6-month contract position with a client located in Milwaukee. This role is preferred to be on-site, but possibly open to remote. Pay range: $35-$45/hr W2.

Summary:

As a Process Improvement Consultant, you will be the team's operational architect. You will diagnose problems, design solutions from the ground up, and build the cohesive processes and strategies that turn data insights into actionable, standardized workflows for the broader company. This is not just about optimizing what exists-it's about creating what should exist.

You will own the full lifecycle: from understanding a problem and laying the groundwork, to designing a clear, roll-out-ready process, and ensuring it's understood and adopted. Your work will be highly independent and in your control, yet deeply collaborative as you engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Creation & Strategy: Develop new, cohesive processes and strategies from scratch to support the team's offerings and frameworks. You won't need to be the subject matter expert in the end domain-you need to be an expert in building the pathway to get there.

  • Analysis & Problem Identification: Partner with the data/analytics team member to understand problems, identify gaps in current workflows, and define areas for improvement.

  • Visualization & Communication: Translate complex processes and strategies into clear, accessible documentation and visualizations. Utilize tools like Power BI to create compelling materials that can be rolled out to the community.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Communicate effectively with everyone from executives to individual contributors, adapting your level of detail appropriately. Demonstrate a proven ability to influence without authority to drive the adoption of new processes.

  • Framework Implementation: Apply and contribute to the team's existing frameworks for data democratization and standard development.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience DOING process improvement, with a proven portfolio of creating effective processes from scratch.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate multiple levels of organizational hierarchy, tailoring messages from high-level strategy to granular detail.

  • Strong independent work ethic with the ability to own a body of work from diagnosis to delivery in a collaborative, low-ego team environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent practical experience.

  • A technical or analytical background with experience in data/analytics concepts.

  • Experience defining and working with KPIs and OKRs.

  • Proficiency with PowerBI for data storytelling and visualization.

If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!
