Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $89.02 - $115.34 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
• Minimum five months of recent Ambulatory Otolaryngology experience
• Minimum nine months of recent Ambulatory experience, including telephone triage and urgent referral review
• Minimum of two years of ICU, Medical/Surgical, or ED inpatient experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrated experience working in a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN or MSN
• Experience in Otolaryngology, head and neck conditions including tracheostomies
• Experience in drawing blood for platelet rich plasma (PRP) and assisting with procedure
• Experience with handling soiled instruments and performing scope pre-cleaning in accordance with infection control standards
• Experience with EPIC

License/Certification

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
