Licensed Therapist - Hybrid Inpatient & Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) Clinician

Full-time, second shift

Job Description:

The hybrid role combines responsibilities in both the inpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) settings. The clinician serves as a lead therapist for the IOP while also providing clinical assessment, therapy, discharge planning, and care coordination for hospitalized patients. The position ensures delivery of high-quality, evidence-based behavioral health services and compliance with Kentucky laws, facility policies, and all regulatory standards. Clinical services provided in inpatient and intensive outpatient program (IOP) settings must be performed within the clinician's professional licensure, scope of practice under Kentucky law, and credentialing privileges. When functioning in the IOP program, the clinician will provide services as part of the structured outpatient treatment program under physician oversight and in accordance with CMS and Kentucky regulatory requirements for intensive outpatient behavioral health services. Must possess strong skills in crisis intervention, assessment, treatment planning, documentation along with excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills. Knowledge of evidence-based therapies (i.e. CBT, DBT, trauma-formed care) required. On-call duties may be required for crisis consultation

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or related

    behavioral field from a school of social work accredited

    by the Council on Social Work Education required.

  • Current Kentucky licensure: Independent clinician (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LPA), Provisionally licensed clinician (CSW, LPCA) or Addiction specialist (LCADC). Provisionally licensed clinicians must maintain supervision arrangements consistent with Kentucky licensing board requirements.

  • Three years of experience required (experience including group facilitation).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience coordinating an IOP.

  • Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

  • Familiarity with EHR systems and outcome measurement tools
