- Assess employees' skills, talents, performance and productivity and prepare written evaluations with advice for improvement
- Deliver program-specific training on WIOA Youth, SEAL, and Student Hireability policies, eligibility, workflows, and performance requirements.
- Research new training materials, databases and systems, and curriculums that might enhance our training procedures and provide value to our employees
- Train staff on case management best practices, documentation standards, career planning, Work-In-Texas system navigation, and compliance-driven procedures.
- Assist with the on-boarding of new hires, assigning them to training sessions designed to provide workforce program knowledge and competency
- Identify future training needs and create curriculum to facilitate that training
- Search for gaps in training material or content that should be filled to ensure quality and productivity among staff members
- Communicate with team members and management to ensure all needs are met
- Develop a schedule to assess training needs
- Track and compile collected data
- Conceptualize training materials based on data and research
- Communicate training needs and online resources
- Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials
- Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Related Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent work experience
- Experience working within WIOA-funded programs (Youth strongly preferred), with understanding of eligibility, service strategies, expenditure requirements, and performance measures.
- Proficiency in workforce systems such as WorkInTexas (WIT), or other case management platforms used in workforce development.
- Ability to translate federal, state, and board policy into practical, easy-to-understand training materials for frontline staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation and customer service skills
- Must be MSOffice literate and have the ability to work in other database tracking systems
- Familiarity with the communities being served, with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
- Bilingual a plus
