We are hiring for a Program Director to manage all operational functions of Benchmark's general early intervention (EI) and autism services in Connecticut. The director will facilitate program development through recruitment, retention, staff training, responsiveness to families, and the State of Connecticut Birth to Three Lead Agency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including those outlined in the Connecticut Birth to Three Policies and Procedures.
  • Direct the day-to-day business operations of the Department.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Director to ensure sufficient staff is available to meet service demand and hiring of early intervention staff.
  • Ensure that all service providers receive the training, support, and work time necessary to fulfill the requirements of their positions.
  • Train and mentor staff.
  • Maintain consistent communication with team members.
  • Ensure observations of interventionists are conducted for annual evaluations and to maintain fidelity.
  • Ensure staff evaluations are completed annually.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Directors and Office Manager to delegate tasks.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Directors to conduct team meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Develop and/or coordinate trainings for staff.
  • Monitor prior authorizations, billing, and assist corporate with billing process.
  • Participate in PCG meetings.
  • Participate in Birth to Three sponsored trainings, meetings, and learning opportunities as appropriate.
  • Review IFSP and related documents to ensure compliance.
  • Develop policies and procedures as indicated by program needs.
  • Actively participate in early intervention related committees/workgroups.
  • Must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services and training and be present to provide supervision to staff.
  • Ensure clinical staff is providing ethical and best-practice services to individuals and families.
  • Participate in marketing, community outreach, and training regarding EI services on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Connecticut driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, leadership or related field.
  • Five years of experience in early intervention is desired.
  • Knowledgeable about best practices in early intervention.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to quality and sound business practices.
