About Northwest Respiratory Services:

Headquartered in Eagan, MN, Northwest Respiratory Services (NRS) is a leading provider of respiratory and home medical equipment, proudly serving patients and healthcare partners across the Upper Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. With 34 locations across 6 regions, NRS has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional care and reliable service. Our mission is to ensure that patients receive the respiratory equipment and support they need - safely, efficiently, and compassionately.

Position Overview:

As our Operations and Field Services Leader, you'll play a key role in driving operational excellence across our regional network. Based at our Eagan headquarters, but traveling frequently to the field, this role serves as the central link between our six Regional Operations Managers and our internal operations, logistics, and supply chain teams. You'll help lead initiatives that enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure consistent service delivery across all NRS locations.

This isn't a typical operations management role - it's hands-on, dynamic, and multifaceted. You'll be equally comfortable developing optimization strategies with regional leaders and the executive leadership team as you are digging into the tactical details of warehousing, inventory, routing, supplier performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with six Regional Operations Managers to identify and implement process improvements in delivery routing, inventory flow, and field service operations.
  • Assist in oversight of inventory management and distribution to ensure each location has the right equipment and supplies on hand to meet patient needs, including adequate staffing.
  • Help manage vendor relationships and supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
  • Support and enhance the use of internal systems and MRP tools (tablet-based operations and finance integration) to improve visibility, reporting, and accuracy across the supply chain.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency and scalability across all regions.
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop repeatable, proactive processes that anticipate challenges and reduce reactive problem-solving.
  • Engage directly with internal teams and field service personnel to troubleshoot operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to developing metrics and dashboards to track operational performance, costs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, adaptability, and forward-thinking within a fast-moving, evolving environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics leadership, preferably within a wholesale, distribution, or healthcare-related environment.
  • Experience in medical device, durable medical equipment (DME), or hospital supply chain operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, warehousing, routing, and fulfillment operations.
  • Hands-on experience with MRP or ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions to achieve common goals.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Why Join NRS:

At Northwest Respiratory Services, you'll be part of a mission-driven team that makes a real difference in people's lives every day. You'll work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas and initiative directly shape the company's growth and success. This is an opportunity to be a key change agent - helping NRS evolve from reactive operations to a more proactive, scalable, and data-driven organization.
