Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Job Responsibilities:
- Provides on site psychiatric consultations to medicine teams for patients with behavioral health needs
- Provides a collaborative and integrative approach to patient care throughout the patients' medical admission.
- Works closely with Psychiatrist to evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders and/or SUDs, performs risk assessments, and determines level of care in coordination with multidisciplinary teams for patients with BH needs.
- May provide a range of brief evidence based therapeutic interventions, crisis management, safety assessments, utilizing appropriate resources to assist the patient in achieving the goals and objectives for medical and psychiatric stabilization.
- Provides clear and consistent communication, seamless coordination, and effective interventions to optimize treatment outcomes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
- Experience: Minimum of two years' experience working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association upon start. Vistelar certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
