Advanced Practice Clinician Fellow in Orthopedics

HealthPartners
Nov 21, 2025

We are offering a 12-month postgraduate program to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners interested in advanced training in Orthopedics with a targeted start date of September 2026.

The Orthopedic Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) Fellowship engages learners in extensive training in a variety of teaching environments and sub-specialties within orthopedics. Clinical and didactic experiences focus on honing skills necessary to effectively assess, coordinate, and deliver evidence-based and cost-effective care of orthopedic injuries and conditions. Responsibilities include basic medical duties of performing histories and physicals, formulating an assessment and plan, and providing necessary treatments and procedures. All work is supervised by an attending physician or APC. The APC Fellow will have the opportunity to continue their development of clinical competence and confidence, critical thinking skills, and interprofessional collaboration. This helps APCs successfully integrate into practice at an accelerated rate compared to on-the-job training.

At HealthPartners, you will find a warm, diverse group of people who are committed to helping our patients - and each other. We foster an inclusive environment that encourages new ways of thinking, celebrates differences, and recognizes hard work. We're also committed to living our values. This means you can expect us to be your partner and treat you with dignity and respect. Join our team and make good happen!
