Duties and Responsibilities
* Receives equipment in Excess Warehouse, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the paperwork and matches paperwork to item. Reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
* Annotates assigned warehouse locations of excess equipment on corresponding document; ensures re-locations of equipment items are documented and forwarded to the Property Disposal Office to update DSPL.
* Ensures sensitive items are properly stored in security cage.
* Ensure items identified as scrap are marked with a visible X as soon as it is identified and approved by the Property Disposal Officer.
* Forwards documentation to the Property Disposal Office to update the NASA-wide agency disposal system, DSPL.
* Provides customer service, escorts screeners, provides equipment status information as requested and pulls equipment for customer review and/ or testing.
* Pulls equipment for transfer, donation, scrap, sale, etc., as requested.
* Pulls, lots and displays surplus property for on-site sales. Conducts physical inventory of each lot prior to the date of the sale and again as the equipment is prepared for customer pickup. Provides support on day of sale as required.
* Pulls and lots equipment as directed by the Warehouse Lead and/or Supervisor for the GSA Recycling Contractor; physically inventories each lot prior to pick up.
* Reports damaged/missing property immediately to the Warehouse Supervisor.
* Performs housekeeping duties as required to maintain a safe working environment using housekeeping tools provided by the Supervisor.
* Conducts monthly sectional physical inventories as required and a wall-to-wall annual inventory as directed by Warehouse Lead and/or Supervisor.
* Operates forklifts and other material handling devices in a safe manner.
* Shredding off all removed hard drives from logistics analyst by use of the SEM Crusher Model 0304.
* Maintain Preventative Maintenance on SEM Crusher Model 0304 monthly.
* Stage items that are unable to be crushed for destruction.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum of two years warehousing experience. * Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. * Must share a commitment to maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment while simultaneously optimizing individual performance and contribution. * Advanced skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office applications. * Ability to operate material handling equipment * Ability to pass a NASA GSFC forklift physical * Capable of lifting packages weighing up to 70 pounds * Ability to stoop, bend, push and pull * Must possess basic computer literacy skills * The work of this position is performed in an indoor and outdoor environment

Rate of Pay/Benefits
Internal Hire Hourly Rate: $36.01 External Hire Hourly Rate: $25.40
*CBA states new hires hourly rate will be calculated at 75% for the 12 months of employment.
