Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $30.24 - $30.24/hour

Tessera is seeking a reliable Storekeeper to support technical supply and warehouse operations at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor. This role is responsible for inventory control, cataloging, property utilization, and storage management of both general and hazardous materials. The Storekeeper ensures accurate recordkeeping while receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking supplies to support operational readiness.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs technical supply tasks within standardized operations.

  • Performs all the functions of receiving, storing, issuing, ordering, recording, and checking store items and hazardous materials in a store or warehouse where the flow of work requires one or more Storekeepers.

  • Utilizes supply systems and established methods to resolve individual supply cases.

  • Applies guidelines to specific program requirements and operational variations.

  • Collects and analyzes data to resolve supply-related issues.

  • Recommends or takes actions based on policy interpretation.

  • Receipts for material, arriving via commercial carriers, unloads, checks-in, and processes related documentation.

  • Expedites the flow of supply of parts, tools, and material for a shop or subcontractor as well as coordinates supply action between departments or work sections.

  • Checks for damage and coordinates the resolution of discrepancies or may process claims for freight damage.

  • Research and identify compatible/incompatible chemicals for correct storage and provides MSDS information.

  • Performs duties associated with the consolidation, repackaging, labeling, and transporting of material.

  • Work includes driving forklifts, high lifts, and vehicles of medium weight.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.

  • 0-3 years of Warehouse Experience.

  • Solid working knowledge of supply systems, manuals, and procedural guidelines.

  • Familiarity with the organization's supply needs and operations.

  • Analytical skills to identify problems, gather data, and apply solutions within established frameworks.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
